Just over five miles form the Bushy Park Lodge lies the Kew Royal Botanical Gardens. These Gardens cover 465 acres and are noted as one of the world's leading botanic gardens. Richmond Park lies four and a half miles away from the lodge. This 2,500-acre park is the largest Royal Park in London and is home to many free roaming species. Richmond Park has been identified as a site of scientific interest and a Natural Reserve.
